And just last week Mogette she drove
From her home town near Nantes
Via lavender and olive groves
To blue skies of Provence…
Limoges, then Brive, and Padirac
Millau and Les
Cevennes,
Que du bonheur, both there and back
Quels happy times with friends
She took her lucky proprio
On a true aventure
Via Le Vigan and
Avignon
To Rencontres de
LURE
For six and a half décennies
These Rencontres have been
An annual point culminant
On typo-grapho scene
And this year’s theme “Constellations”
For Mogette was a tease
Because of her own origins…
Back in Les Seventies
For when Mogette was three weeks old
Her Michelins still gleaming
A pop-rock anthem hit the charts
And Bowie sent us dreaming…
